Pam Kelly Pullen, Founder

Pam first opened her doors in 1972 next to her father's ophthalmology practice. Her interest in eye care actually started in high school when she helped patients learn how to put in contact lenses. Pam’s legacy has spanned three generations of ophthalmologists, and her family and staff still provide exceptional service to their clients to this day.

Tricia Pullen Friddle, COA, COE

Owner

Trish has seen every aspect of both Smith’s Opticians and the neighboring ophthalmology clinic since high school in the late 90s. She became the office manager for Dr. Stephen Kelly in 2003 after studying at Auburn University. Trish is a favorite among many of the patients and a powerful problem solver.

Xavier Moore, aboc

Optical Manager

Xavier is the most recognizable member of the team. Native to Cleveland, OH, he has lived in Birmingham for several years. Xavier has worked at Smith’s since 2015 as an optician and is very knowledgeable of glasses and contacts. He loves street photography and delicious desserts.
